Adam Sandler is a comedian, actor, musician, screenwriter, and film producer. Since he is not very intelligent, he struggles through school and has to work extra hard with the help of various supporting characters.

Happy Gilmore: One year after Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore was released; another sports film that did very well. Again, Sandler plays the title character, this time a man who wishes to be a professional ice hockey player. Although he is not good on the ice, his knowledge of ice hockey translates onto the golf course and he turns out to be a good player with an extremely strong swing. Needing to make money to help out his grandmother, he enters a golf tournament. Throughout the way he makes enemies and friends and hilariously works his way through the tournament.

Wedding Singer: A little different from his first two big movies, this comedy was still a big hit. Sandler plays a wedding singer who was recently dumped by his fiancé. He falls for a waitress at the venue he works at even though she is planning her own wedding, although she is engaged to an obnoxious guy. Through wedding planning, singing, and romance, a lot of laughs work their way in to this heart warming romantic comedy.

The Waterboy: Going back to the sports theme, Sandler plays a socially awkward water boy for the University of Louisiana football team. He gets picked on constantly and eventually his built up anger comes out and he is able to tackle men bigger than him. The coach sees potential in him and decides to put him on the football team, which ends up being a great success.

His more recent work has included more than just comedies. Some of his other hit movies are Spanglish, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Big Daddy, and Bedtime Stories. With each piece of work he continues to cement his role as one of the most successful actors in Hollywood.
