Not a big TV watcher, but you love movies? There's nothing like disappearing for a couple of hours into the thick plot of a good film. That escape is the magic of movies. Even if you don't like to watch much TV, it's still worth your time and money to have satellite TV installed. Here's why.

Satellite's movie channel offerings are endless. There are seven HBOs, 12 channels of Starz, nine Showtime channels, and three Cinemax. That's what most providers will offer you. Some of the numbers may be a little different, depending on the provider, though. In addition to those big name channels, there are also plenty of niche and genre specific channels. Encore offers a multitude of channels, such as western, drama, action, love and mystery.

Satellite TV offers many more networks that are dedicated to movies, as well. Thriller offers scary movies. Flix offers movies from the 70s, 80s and 90s with the most famous directors and actors. On the other hand, the Independent Film Channel offers lesser-known and low-budget movies. The Sundance Channel offers award-winning movies from its festival and others. Fox Movie Channel provides all the movies that its production company has released. Turner Classic Movies offers films regarded as some of the best of all time.

One particular channel of interest for movie buffs is called Reelz. Their self-description probably says it best. "ReelzChannel goes beyond other sources of information and entertainment by taking movie fans deeper into the world of movies sharing information they won't find anywhere else exclusively on movies and the people who make them." This channel is truly a gem of the satellite TV movie offerings.

On top of satellite's offerings you still receive all the cable channels you used to get. Still available are TBS, FX, USA and all the rest that split some of their programming time into showing movies. Adding these channels to your satellite ones brings even more movies into the mix. You'll be able to view so many movies that you'll begin to think that you have access to every movie ever made.

Perhaps the best part about satellite is that you can order a DVR with your services. So, if the new Meryl Streep film comes on while you are at work or sleeping, you can simply record it with the click of a button. If it wasn't enough that you have more than 60 channels that allow you to pick a movie at any time of day, now you can store them to be watched later at your leisure. Satellite TV and DVR give you the option of looking at programming up to one week in advance. You can even search by title or genre, allowing you to go through and record every good movie throughout the week.

Your friends may wonder why someone who doesn't watch a lot of TV is getting a satellite dish installed. They'll be astounded when you tell them you canceled your subscription to Netflix and have quit going to BlockBuster. That's when you explain to them that satellite's providing you with more movies than you ever dreamed of.

Let Direc TV help you find the right service package for you. You'll be glad that you saved some money with direct tv deals.
