Most internet connections nowadays are fast enough that you can share them with multiple people who are all using it at the same time. In most situations, that wouldn't be a problem but sometimes one internet user ends up taking all the bandwidth of the others. The result is that you might not be able to use the internet at the advertised speeds. If you switch to 4G internet though, you will be able to browse at broadband speeds all the time without worrying about others hogging up the connection.

Before going further, you should be aware that you can try sharing your new cellular connection as well if you wanted to. Much like how cable and DSL providers offer Wifi routers with some of their plans, some cellular providers essentially do the same thing. You can share the connection if you want to, but then someone could end up taking up all your bandwidth if you're not careful.

There are a couple of 4G plans that will allow you to take full control of your connection. The first one is known as a basic mobile plan but don't let that moniker fool you. It is anything but basic, especially when compared to cable or DSL. You will essentially be able to use the internet anywhere throughout the coverage area, which is probably going to be your entire city. In any case, you gain full control because you will be the only person using the connection under this particular plan, and the key is the USB modem that you will be supplied with. Since it can only connect to one machine at a time, you are assured that you will gain the full benefit of your 4G connection. Also, since the modem is so small, you'll be able to take it with you everywhere, which means you can always have full control if you want.

Another plan that gives you that same level of control is known as a hybrid plan. As the name suggests, you will be able to use two different technologies, depending on which one is better for you wherever you happen to be located. The two technologies that will be working together in this case are 3G and 4G. While 3G is slower than its newer counterpart, it enjoys a much larger coverage area at the current time. That means if you want to be able to roam all throughout the country and still always have a connection to the internet, then you're going to have to employ the services of 3G. Although the newer network is much different and more advanced, there is a USB modem that you can use that will be able to interact with both networks. It will be a little more bulky than the one that comes with the basic plan, but not much more so. You can still fit it in your pocket and take it with you wherever you want to go.

When you sign up for 4G, you will have the opportunity to gain full control of your internet experience. Since the connection is fast, you're definitely going to like being in the driver’s seat once again.
